Description

A Fine Pair of Vienna Style Porcelain Vases and Covers, on Stands.

Each of baluster form. Each with cobalt blue-ground neck and cover with spiral gilt-embossed decoration. The bodies painted in the round with a continuous scene of classical figures against a gold-ground. On cobalt blue-ground circular spreading socles and stands.

‘F / D’ Vienna Austria shield mark for Franz Dörfl. Blue beehive marks. The painted bodies signed ‘F. Kohl’.
