A Fine Marquetry Inlaid Table with a Lacquer Top, Retailed by Boin Taburet.
Stamped to the underside ‘Boin Taburet’.
This attractive and unusual small occasional table is finely inlaid with a guilloché running pattern centred by a fine lacquer panel depicting a figure beneath a tree in a stylised landscape. The tapering square section legs are united by a cross stretcher with a lacquered central boss.

Boin-Taburet a été créé en 1873 par l'antiquaire George Boin et le bijoutier Emile Taburet.
La société a été créditée du regain d'intérêt pour l'argenterie de style Louis XV à Paris à la fin des années 1880, et a reçu une médaille d'or à l'Exposition universelle de Paris en 1889.
Outre la production de pièces d'orfèvrerie et de métaux exceptionnels, l'entreprise vendait au détail de petits meubles et des objets décoratifs de très grande qualité, fabriqués par les grands ébénistes de l'époque.
Emile Taburet et Georges Boin travaillent ensemble jusqu'en 1900, date à laquelle Georges Boin s'associe à l'orfèvre Henry et crée les orfèvres "Boin & Henry".
