A Fine Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Mounted Marquetry Commode with a Marble Top.

This fine commode has a shaped breccia marble top above three frieze drawers with fine gilt-bronze rosette mounts. Below are two drawers with trellis inlay centred by a fine sans traverse unified marquetry panel, depicting a basket issuing flowers. The uprights are inlaid with fruitwood stringing and fine acanthus cast gilt-bronze clasps. It is raised on splayed legs terminating in paw feet.
