A Fine Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Twenty-Four-Light Chandelier, Cast With Chimera and Masks of Apollo.
This finely cast gilt-bronze chandelier has a pierced domed corona with lappet frieze above four supports finely cast to the shoulders with winged Chimera, above a circlet cast with masks of Apollo and issuing scrolling acanthus cast arms with leaf cast drip trays and foliate sconces, the baluster cast stem terminating in an acanthus cast knop finial.
