A Fine Napoleon III Boulle Marquetry Inlaid Eight Day Longcase Clock. The bombe shaped case is finely inlaid with boulle marquetry work of cut brass arabesque and enriched with finely chiselled gilt-bronze mounts. The case surmounted by a figure of father time at the apex. The circular gilt-bronze dial is inset with porcelain numerals. The trunk having a glazed central aperture revealing a gilt-bronze pendulum in the form of a mask of Apollo with radiating sun rays.
