Of superb quality this Louis XVI style side-cabinet is fitted with period gilt-tooled red leather document boxes. The original cipollino Campan rouge marble top above a frieze with central gilt-bronze relief cast panel showing putti reading and writing. The cupboard doors are mounted with oval gilt-bronze plaques with pastoral scenes. The interior fitted with two shelves holding nine document boxes with ormolu handles. The sides with fluted pilasters. On toupie feet.
