description
A Silver Plated Roast Beef Trolley.
The roll top lid opening to reveal a warming tray fitted with a removable carving board and two reservoirs, over three burners, with a coaster to one side and an oblong utensil rest to front. The trolley is raised on cabriole legs united by an undertier with removable tray and fitted with covered wheels.
Silver Roast Trolleys first made an appearance in the fine restaurants and grill rooms of the Edwardian era. They were quickly to become icons of refinement and gentility, in an age where the ritual of dining was both elaborate and formal.
