Ferdinando Vichi


Ferdinando Vichi won numerous prizes at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence where he studied under Augusto Rivalta and Emilio Zocchi and his compositions were exhibited and awarded internationally, fulfilling commissions for clients in Germany, France, England, the Americas and India.

In addition to portrait commissions which included three American presidents, McKinley, Roosevelt and Taft, he made numerous public monuments in Italy and and family crypts in England, Switzerland and America. His work in marble and alabaster encompasses a range of neoclassical, orientalist and allegorical subjects.
