Niccolo Roccatagliata (active 1593-1636), was an Italian sculptor, mostly producing work in Venice. In the 1590s the centre of his activity was San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice

These fine andirons formerly formed part of the furnishing of Château Montford, Cote d'Azur, France.

Château Montford was the Cote D’Azur residence of the late Severin Wunderman, the owner of Swiss luxury brand Corum. Originally a 16th century hunting lodge he spent considerable time and resources turning it into a treasure house for his extensive antique collection.
