Charles and Richard Light were cabinet makers and looking glass manufacturers of Curtain Road, Shoreditch; one of the most famous Nineteenth Century furniture making areas in London. The firm was one of the most dominant furniture manufacturers of the period and the dissemination of their designs was assisted by the publication of catalogues such as their 1880 publication ‘Cabinet Furniture Designs and Catalogue of Cabinet and Upholstery Furniture, Looking Glasses etc..,’.

Artist Biography
