An Exceptional and Large Pair of George III Style
Cut-Crystal Twenty-Four Light Chandeliers
by Perry & Co.

This magnificent pair of George III Style Cut-Crystal Chandeliers are of exceptional size and quality. They were made by perhaps the finest English chandelier maker of the 19th century, Perry & Co., and have excellent provenance. It is extremely rare to find such an important pair of chandeliers of this size and quality still together.

FRANÇOIS LINKE LÉON MESSAGÉ & THE EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE, PARIS 1900

As part of the Olympia International Art & Antiques Fair held at the beginning of June 2009 we were delighted to be able to put on an important exhibition, celebrating the work of the nineteenth century’s greatest furniture maker, François Linke and re-uniting the key pieces from his award winning stand at the Paris Exposition Universelle.

We are delighted to announce that Adrian Alan Ltd was awarded the prestigious COUNTRY LIFE / LAPADA 2009 inaugural Object of the Year Award for Francois Linke’s Le Grand Bureau

Created as the centrepiece of Linke’s stand at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle, this extraordinary work of art is an established prize winner having received the coveted médaille d'or at the Paris exhibition. As the chairman of the judging panel Huon Mallalieu commented on Le Grand Bureau :

“It was the last ‘Bravo!’ of the Belle Epoque, and it makes a splendid first COUNTRY LIFE-LAPADA Object of the Year”
